You don't even have to have the toy for this to happen.

My Dad, who was an active unbaptized publisher but faded after my parents got married, is considered an "unbeliever" and because my Sister and I didn't shun him we were, and are, treated like dirt.

Any hope?

so as you may know, my parents are hardcore jw's...however, something they said to me a couple nights ago got me thinking and wondering if my parents could be awakened.... the c/o who was in town and in one of his talks, related an example of when he visited another congregation.

he stated that he asked a sister why her husband wasn't at meeting with her....the sister stated that her husband was at work...the c/o's reply..."that's a horrible excuse"!?!?!?!.

my parents found the c/o's comment disturbing...and when my parents brought up the conversation, i was surprised they said the c/o must have lost his mind...my parents stated nobody knows when the system is going to end so we still need to work and a man has the biblical obligation to cater to his family.

There is always hope but unfortunately sometimes it doesn't pan out.

Kool Jo your parents may be in the same boat as my Mom.

She sees all the bad stuff and notices the crazy both with people and the teachings (I know this because she complains about it ALL THE TIME) but she refuses to actually accept that it really is all a bunch of bullshit.

So the problem isn't getting her to see their error it's getting her over her own pride. She uses the old, but wrong, where else would I go argument because she's been believing and following the $ociety for so long that she refuses to let it go She would also have to admit to herself, and everyone else, that she was wrong and, as we all know witlesses are never wrong, this is a big pill to swallow.

I love my Mom dearly but I don't know if she'll ever wake up, however I never give up the hope that she will.

I think it should be applied to born-ins (in or out) too because their childhoods have been thrown in the trash.

Sparlock was just a plastic toy, but when a child plays with a toy they hope, dream and imagine, the toy is an aide for their physical world and their minds to connect and run wild.

This is something born-ins are not permitted to do; therefore they've been sparlocked.

How long until we see a "Sunday School" program?

so we are seeing wt videos aimed at children, a feature for children in the watchtower aimed at young children, just how long until we start seeing some form of a sunday school for young children?.

i know in the past it has been ridiculed by the wts, but the reality is that it is a better method for teaching children than sitting in the kh where they can't sit still for more than 5 minutes anyway..

For there to be a Sunday school the $octiey would have to first acknowledge that children are not just miniature adult robots, and I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future.

South Australian Judge Saves Life of Young Girl By Ordering Blood Transfusion

this story has been brought to my attention, and i thought i would share it with you all.. a very poorly young jehovah's witness girl in south australia has been ordered to have a blood transfusion.

the court heard that the girl, who suffers from leukaemia, would die "within weeks" if she were deprived of the life-saving treatment.. the parents appear to have put up a tacit fight for their rights to be respected, but their solicitor made some telling remarks when he said:.

"it's not like they are acting with callous disregard for her wellbeing or her future,".

There is no guarantee of survival or that she'll be "cured" but, if this young girl does pull through, the chances of her remembering the details of the circumstances are slim.

If the parents are good witlesses they'll just lie their asses off and never tell her the truth anyway.
